Work will begin on Monday next week (11.6.18) and is expected to take six months to complete.
The project includes the construction of a new underground pump station at Volunteer Corner and an upgrade of the pipes beneath Dixon Street that connect to the wastewater mains on Willis Street.
The new infrastructure will help to relieve the pressure on the city’s other pump stations, which importantly will reduce the possibility of overflows into the harbour.
The project team will be employing new real time traffic management tracking, Mooven, to monitor and respond to any impact the works might have on surrounding streets.
For more information, and updates about the project, check out the project page on our website: wellingtonwater.co.nz...

It has been stolen around 10am-4.30pm Sunday 3rd June. Were you in the area last Sunday (Queens Birthday weekend)? . The culprit removed the two tennis raquets before 2pm on Sunday then returned before 4.30pm the same day, Sunday to pick up the pieces then returned again before 1pm Monday to remove the main signage. This is not a vandal, vandals rarely return to clean up after themselves, this is a local person who has previously complained about signage on this fence to the Council before. Stealing our sign is illegal as it complied with WCC regulations and had a permit. We intend to inform the police, so anyone who saw the culprit we would appreciate your call. We already have some car dash cam footage from local drivers showing the sign half removed on that day. The sign costs our club money and now more money to replace. We need your help to inform this person that such action, taking the law into their own hands, will not be tolerated, is illegal and is theft of our property. You may also help by being vigilant to see where she has put our sign. Rubbish bins, skips ect. We would like it back. Thanks for your co-operation. Remember Karori Lawn Tennis is offering FREE TENNIS to all on Sundays and Wednesdays, come along for a game.

I think I have worked out the issue; it appears that the information seen on a mobile devices (tablet & mob ph) is different to what appears on a PC. I was looking on my tablet on Monday morning, and there was only the gold promo re Mondays/Tuesdays showing, and it definitely had no exclusions or astrix attached to it, citing info about public holidays. When I looked on my PC today, the info looks quite different altogether. And my mobile doesn't even show half of the info that the website shows.
My techy husband says that the Cinema may need to update/reconfigure their mobile side of things. If this is the case, then perhaps I've done the Penthouse marketing team a favour by bringing the issue to their attention.....!
