Board Games night for Men! - 7.30pm Wednesday
We're restarting our Board Games night this Wednesday Feb 7th in St Hilda's Church Hall (the God's Rainbow Room at the rear of the hall - entrance via the Playground behind the church).
We play interesting Board Games including Ticket to Ride (multiple versions), Sequence, Azul, and Rails and Sails, not to mention Exploding Kittens and Grass. A fun and relaxing evening to stimulate the brain cells and enjoy some good company.
Normally we meet fortnightly on the Second and Fourth Wednesdays of the month.
FREE 10-liter emergency water bottles
Merry Christmas -
I have around twenty, empty 10-liter distilled water bottles to serve as emergency water storage. I saved them for my friends, but they already have their own water supplies. Take as many as you like. Please respond to this notice if you are interested.
Best wishes - Michael
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
