Next CAP Budgeting Course starts 4th September !!!
The CAP course is about how to make the most of your money. It doesn't matter whether you have a lot or a little, the CAP money course will help you to use it better. It is totally free and totally confidential. It has worked in helping thousands of people in NZ and also in Australia, England and Canada. We've had about 30 people from the Bay area so far, and the feedback has been incredibly positive, so we think we are on to a winner here!
We will talk about making a budget and then how to keep to it. The next course is at St Hilda's (311 the Parade) at 7.30pm starting on Monday 4th September. There are then 2 more sessions on 11th and 18th.
To enrol just give us a call or email on 022 1392005 or email to ibhildas@gmail.com, or drop a note into the church office, or go to the CAP website (capnz.org), click on the "Find a course near you" button (top right), select the Island Bay course, and follow the instructions. You can text or call us if you have any questions. Places are limited to 12 participants (couples count as one participant).
Poll: Are you still heading to your local for your caffeine fix, or has the $$ changed your habits? ☕
Wellington’s identity is built on its cafe culture, but with costs climbing, that culture is under pressure. We’ve seen the headlines about recent closures, and it’s a tough pill to swallow along with a $6+ coffee.
We all want our favourite spots to stay open, but we also have to balance our own budgets ⚖️
We want to know: How are you handling the "coffee math" in 2026? Are you still heading to your local for a chat and a caffeine fix, or has the cost of living changed your habits?
Keen to read more about "coffee math"? The Post has you covered.
