High demand for two-bedroom Island Bay property
The hottest property on Trade Me last month was a modest two-bedroom house listed for $490,000 in the Wellington suburb of Island Bay.
In another sign of the capital’s surging housing market, the house was watchlisted 660 times in its first two days on the site.
The tender for the house was due to close in late October.

By now, you must have received notice of Rates Valuation from the City Council.
Any real estate agent will tell you that at the moment, most properties in Wellington are selling 25-30% below
council valuation.
Though the letter says, rating valuation is NOT for the purpose of Rates adjustment, we know well that it will follow.
Is it fair to assume that QV which stands to gain a good income from the desk-top valuation, will not disappoint their patron?
Is there a Rate Payers Association in Wellington ?
