Reading the candidates'… View morePostal voting has closed. It's too late now to post your ballots for Wellington Mayor, WCC, GWRC and CCDHB, as they may not reach Christchurch in time to be counted. But you can still drop them off in WCC libraries up until noon Saturday, or preferably earlier.
Reading the candidates' 150 word statements in the booklet that came with your voting papers may take you 15-20 minutes. Then all you have to do is rank the candidates - follow the instructions on the ballot papers very carefully.
So, 30 minutes of your time is a good investment if you want to live in a well-run city and region.
