Flat for Rent

JoElle from Island Bay

Flat for Rent – Island Bay
A cozy home for winter.
I am looking for a short to long term renter for my unit which I normally run as an air bnb.
It’s a 1 bedroom unit in Island Bay, overlooking Cook Strait, and is available for rent until the spring, possibly longer. Fully self-contained with your own entrance, it has a full kitchen, bathroom, living room with a balcony, and one bedroom. It’s fully furnished, has good heating, and is presented to air bnb standards.
The balcony adjoins mine and I have 2 dogs who will bark at first and then fall in love with the occupants if encouraged
The internal stairs are steep so that needs to be considered. It's suitable for one person or a couple but not children.
Rental is $525 per week plus power with a bond of $1,500. Wifi is free.

10-minute walk to the local shops. The number 29 bus stops across the street or walk 5 mins to get the more Number 1.

Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? 🛻🚨🚓

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?

What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?

Poll: Are you still heading to your local for your caffeine fix, or has the $$ changed your habits? ☕

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Wellington’s identity is built on its cafe culture, but with costs climbing, that culture is under pressure. We’ve seen the headlines about recent closures, and it’s a tough pill to swallow along with a $6+ coffee.

We all want our favourite spots to stay open, but we also have to balance our own budgets ⚖️

We want to know: How are you handling the "coffee math" in 2026? Are you still heading to your local for a chat and a caffeine fix, or has the cost of living changed your habits?

Keen to read more about "coffee math"? The Post has you covered.
