One week left to vote in Love Your Local Awards
You nominated your most-loved locals - now it’s time to vote! We’ve managed to whittle down over a thousand nominations into regional finalists, so we need to know who deserves to win. Regional winners will go into the running for national titles, as judged by a panel led by Peter Gordon, so make sure to get your votes in.
Head to stuff.co.nz/loveyourlocal to cast your votes, and go into the draw to win a Restaurant Association voucher.
$50 garden centre vouchers!
Our winners this week have won $50 to spend at a local garden centre.
Congratulations to:
Cassie Arauzo from Cockle Bay
Elizabeth Williams from Hillcrest
Luke Shamy from Hornby
Mitchell Hopping from Wallacetown
Get in touch with our helpdesk team here if you're on this list! If you're not a winner, check back next week just in case.
Loki: lost 3 leg cat from Te Wharepōuri Street
Loki is up to his old tricks and has gone awol again. The last time was around 2.5 years ago when he was found inside a wall cavity in the Satan Slaves compound. He is an 8 year old lilac Burmese. This means he’s a kind of beige colour. With amber eyes. He’s missing his right front leg.
He’s likely to be shut in a shed or under a house in either Te Wharepouri street, Luxford or until between Luxford and te Whareouri St.
If you can take a look in any shut sheds, outside laundries or under houses cavities. Any 3 leg cat who can make his way into a roof cavity and then down into a wall can get stuck anywhere.
