Somebody is shooting cats in Berhampore. My slender black Mandalay cat has been very unwell over the past weeks. After X-raying her chest in the weekend, the vet discovered the pellet from an air rifle is lodged in her chest cavity. After X-raying her chest in the weekend, the vet discovered the pellet from an air rifle is lodged in her chest cavity. Given that there is a feral cat colony between Luxford St and Te Wharepouri St and many of those cats or skinny black cats - my suspicion is that somebody might be taking shots at cats they believe are strays. Regardless of the why, this is not cool, and it is not safe. Just a heads up that if you live around the Te Wharepouri St / Luxford area and your cat starts behaving strangely - check for gunshot.
