(Some of us actually NEED our cars because of mobility issues.) The new bike lane is on Riddiford St and blocking off The Acupuncture Clinic, The blood testing centre, the Cancer Society, Ronald McDonald house, the best florist which has been there for almost 30 years as well as a number of other businesses which have been there a very long time and have survived Covid only for the council to come along and destroy them. This area is opposite the hospital for people with appointments or visiting. i know the hospital has underground parking but they also charge an arm and a leg for parking there. I saw no advertising taht this was happening and believed there was little or no consultation. But that's the way they work isn't it to get their bike lanes in. For a minority of the population the majority has to be put to extreme disadvantage and possible loose their businesses.

"Hello! I am a handsome devil named Ragnar. When I first came to SPCA, I was very very confused on what my role in life was, it took me a while to realise I wasn't being abandoned, through the help of the volunteers and staff. I previously spent a lot of time on a chain, so you can imagine it's been an adjustment for me. I still have a journey to complete, though have made great progress so far. I've enjoyed going for frequent walks, continuing basic training and of course giving all the cuddles and kisses I can! I am needing a home with some dog experience, to help coach me in life. I am also needing high, secure fencing of at least 1.8m. I will be a great companion for a lucky human, and won't hesitate to be your best pal in life. I am a big boy who may get overexcited around younger kids, but confident older kids in my new home would be fine. I have mixed with some dogs at the SPCA and have generally acted either very aloof or excited to see them, however I would get overwhelmed in an off lead area with other dogs such as dog parks. A social, patient existing dog could work well in my new home, or just human company is fine with me!"

"As a small city slicker, I don't see swamp harriers/kāhu (Circus approximans) that often (actually, I probably don't see them that often as we have falcons that live around here - the city raptor niche slot is full). We rumbled this one a couple of weekends ago feeding on some roadkill (as they do) on the gravel road to Boggy Pond in the Wairarapa. He was reluctant to go too far from his dinner, so I clicked a few shots as we walked past. Bird #58 in 2022."

This time taking all power tools from main workshop and two weed eater, leaf blower - all stuff they might get a few bucks for if they sell them, but which cost time and money to have available for people taking care of the place. Just so unfair!!
please keep ears and eyes open for anything suspicious or that may be linked, please let Ron 0274832084 at the club know or me and I'll pass it on.
Many thanks

I have paid for them and put out on my sand dunes in front of my house. While it is road reserve i have put plants in to hold the sand in place. By having the dunes in front i get less sand in the house and at the back of house and stops the sand from spilling onto the pavement.
If you want a cutting please come in and ask for one. We are more than happy to do this rather than having them being ripped out.
