Our Freshen Up event is coming up on July 22 and we've run into a bit of a snag! We need your help to find experienced and professional hairdressers to help cut long hair. You'll be working alongside Te Auaha barbers, an amazing group of volunteers and some of our community centre staff so if this sounds like you or someone you know, send us a message!
We'd love to have you be part of the amazing team that look after our tamariki so if this post doesn't convince you, then we hope this article will!

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens arenβt seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days β the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, whoβs made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?
Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.
This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.
We want to know: Should this be rolled out across all coastal cities in Aotearoa? And more importantlyβ¦ would you get involved? π
