The Rongotai College Calendar 2022
Rongotai College has been granted access to the National Library’s Collection of historical photos of Rongotai College and the surrounding area. They offer a fascinating, sometimes quirky glimpse of Rongotai students over the years along with iconic pictures of Kilbirnie Speedway Racing, the original Rongotai Aerodrome, and that boxing match in 1930.
We have bound these together in a calendar that is a celebration of both the school and the history of the local area. Local printers Milne Print have done a superb job of reproducing the digital files with sepia tones onto medium-weight mid-sheen card. The calendar is available from the office and the cost is $15.00.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
