"I managed to get some birdie time yesterday at Silverstream just in time before the wet weather set in! Spent a bit of time chasing an elusive kลtare but no shots unfortunately! I did get close to a few Goldfinches at one stage which is unusual as they are normally very skittish!
I discovered a shag high up in the trees near a playground too! A shame it was too dark to get a decent capture but I liked the shadow effect! Saw lots of ducks in the stream, I think that there were a couple of Australian Shovellers if I am not mistaken!
The first photos is of tui that I had earlier been stalking around my property. He had plenty to say to me...."
