Manage Your Expectations | On Sale Now!

Marketing Manager from Circa Theatre

You decide the ending…

Solo performer Eliza Sanders has a simple task: to tell you everything that will happen in the show, so you can decide if you would like to see it. Nothing is ever so simple.

This genre-defying work of dance, theatre, live film, clown and absurd philosophising takes the idea of the ‘trigger warning’ to its absurdist extreme to question how ‘informed’ consent can really be, and asking ‘How much do you really want to know?’

Created and performed by multi-award-winning maverick of the stage Eliza Sanders, Manage Your Expectations helps us to see the limits of the power to communicate and our failures to say what we mean. Through movement, multimedia, and razor-sharp wit, it examines the impossibility of perfect communication, musing on the influence of context, identity and personal history while creating something beautiful from our collective mess.

“Clever, witty, evocative, subversive, immersive, despairing, poignant, personal and universal” — Deirdre Tarrant, Theatreview

“Beautifully vulnerable” – Chloe Jaques, Theatreview, 2024

Full of vigour, energy, chaos and a hint of confrontation, Manage Your Expectations is a mind (and body) bending show about how we connect in an increasingly complex world. And you decide the ending…

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

DOC is rolling out a new tool to help figure out what to tackle first when it comes to protecting our threatened species and the things putting them at risk.

Why does this matter? As Nikki Macdonald from The Post points out, we’re a country with around 4,400 threatened species. With limited time and funding, conservation has always meant making tough calls about what gets attention first.

For the first time, DOC has put real numbers around what it would take to do everything needed to properly safeguard our unique natural environment. The new BioInvest tool shows the scale of the challenge: 310,177 actions across 28,007 sites.

Now that we can see the full picture, it brings the big question into focus: how much do we, as Kiwis, truly value protecting nature — and what are we prepared to invest to make it happen?

We hope this brings a smile!

We want to know: How are you handling the "coffee math" in 2026? Are you still heading to your local for a chat and a caffeine fix, or has the cost of living changed your habits?
