Karori Lions Karnival -- SAVED BY THE BELL!!!!!

Bulletin Editor from Karori Lions Club

You will all appreciate just how relieved we were to hear Prime Minister Jacinda announce yesterday that, apart from Auckland, the country would be able to revert to Covid-19 Alert Level 1 - just in time for us to be able to avoid cancelling our 50th annual Karori Lions Karnival on Ben Burn Park this coming Sunday!
So, it is all GO! No rain forecast - a little cloud in the morning and fine in the afternoon. We'll have over 60 stalls again, including our own Karori Lions Book Tent, our own renowned hot dog stall and white elephant stall, along with games and other activities for the kids, a great line-up of entertainers on the stage, and other tempting food stalls. Something for everybody!

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
