Karori Community Centre - Job-share fixed term position – about 12 hours per week
We are looking for a customer focused person, with lots of initiative and the ability to learn quickly, to job-share the Office Coordinator role.
This is a fixed term position starting asap until about 20 December 2024. Flexibility with your hours would be helpful, and if you can work more hours occasionally (to a max of about 25), that would be an advantage, usually between 9am and 3pm.
In the New Year a permanent part-time role will be coming available.
You will be part of a small, close-knit team and ensure our community users have a warm, inspiring, helpful experience. No two days are ever the same.
Using your welcoming manner, you will provide general reception duties, excellent administrative support and may be involved in one-off events. You will have good communication, interpersonal and networking skills, be highly self-motivated and take initiative. Being friendly, composed and efficient are key along with having a proactive approach to problem solving.
You will help ensure the office is run effectively, manage bookings, invoicing, the cleaning contract, coordinate minor building repairs and ensure Health and Safety procedures are in place.
You will have great Microsoft skills. Ideally you would also be familiar with Xero and have social media skills, or be prepared to learn.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
