Looking for house to rent

Amy from Crofton Downs

Hello:

I am posting this on behalf of my husband's colleague who is here on a 3-year contract. They are looking for a 3-bedroom home to rent in Wellington. Here is their bio:

We are a German family of 4, mum Romy, Dad Mario, Elina 6 and Millie 1. We recently moved to New Zealand from Cambridge UK, where we lived for the last 3 years. We enjoy being away from home and thought why not moving to New Zealand whenever there would be an opportunity and here we are, enjoying our first few weeks very much. Mario works as a research fellow at GNS Science and VUW and Romy is currently at home until the girls are both settled in school and kindergarten. We are an open minded, easygoing and very social family and very experienced in renting homes, whoever is looking for nice tenants who will take good care of their home, will most probably be happy with us. :)

Please contact them directly if you have a property available or know someone who does. Thanks!

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

DOC is rolling out a new tool to help figure out what to tackle first when it comes to protecting our threatened species and the things putting them at risk.

Why does this matter? As Nikki Macdonald from The Post points out, we’re a country with around 4,400 threatened species. With limited time and funding, conservation has always meant making tough calls about what gets attention first.

For the first time, DOC has put real numbers around what it would take to do everything needed to properly safeguard our unique natural environment. The new BioInvest tool shows the scale of the challenge: 310,177 actions across 28,007 sites.

Now that we can see the full picture, it brings the big question into focus: how much do we, as Kiwis, truly value protecting nature — and what are we prepared to invest to make it happen?

We hope this brings a smile!
