- The Wellington District police Facebook page said officers were responding to an incident at an address on High St in Taitā at 9.30am and placed nearby schools into lockdown as a precaution.
- The intermediate said on Tuesday morning on its website it has gone into lockdown because of a police-related incident. A police spokesperson confirmed there is no threat to the school.
- Residents are asked to stay indoors or avoid the area.
