Have your say
The Long Term Plan is open for consultation and we want YOUR input.
We have two main topics we are consulting on. These are:
đShould Greater Wellington own the region's bus assets (depots and charging stations)?
Should Greater Wellington own 100% of CentrePort?
The region's buses are owned by private companies and operated on our behalf. We are proposing the ownership of buses, depots, and charging infrastructure to provide long-term security and future-proof facilities.
Currently we own 76.92% of the shares for CentrePort. We are proposing the purchase of the remaining 23.08% to establish 100% control of the shares. Full ownership means CentrePort will remain in public ownership and enable us to determine its future.
