Shop Assistant - Brooklyn
Do you love op shops and connecting with your local community? One of our member organisations is looking for volunteers to join their suburban Thrift and Gift store in Brooklyn. They are a not-for-profit store where the profits are donated quarterly to organisations in the local community. For this role, you will need a friendly nature and confidence in handling interactions and sales with customers. You will need to be prepared to pitch in to keep the shop tidy and you will be in charge of opening and closing the store, overseeing the floor throughout the shift and processing sales. The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
