Picnic & Tour at Miramar Prison Garden

For WCC's Seniors Week, Te Wīki Kaumātua, The Miramar & Maupuia Community Centre is hosting a picnic and tour up at Miramar Prison Garden.
4 October Wednesday
10.30am-12.30pm

E mihi ana ki sponsors New World Miramar and Bongusto Pasta workshop & Cafe for supporting this local community event.

Free but please RSVP.

There is some limited local transport available if needed, please book to secure your seat.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
