A glorious sight - a kākā feasting on ngutukākā
Photographed in my Ngaio garden, this local kākā stretches to reach delicious white ngutukākā (kākābeak) flowers. The white form of the kākābeak is even rarer in the wild than the kākā parrot. To have both in the middle of suburban Welly is such a treat! Do you have kākā in your garden too?
Fine-art photographic prints are available from $50, with a 10% donation to Zealandia included. Free shipping ends 31 Aug.
