Thursday nights - spacious meeting lounge in Island Bay for 2026

Administration Team from Island Bay Presbyterian Church

If you're thinking of starting a group this year, or your club needs an evening meeting space, come and see our lounge - it's warm and bright, with adjacent kitchen and plenty of parking. Thursday evening is now available, 6-10pm. It's also ideal as a daytime clinic space.
We also have a gym and auditorium - both available during the day. Music, fitness, pre-schooler activities?
88 The Parade Island Bay.
You're welcome to come and have a look: email us on office@ibpc.org.nz or ph 383 8699.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
