Holiday en Plien Air Workshops
Want to get outside and do some sketching and painting?
Join us for a bit of fresh air and the perfect excuse to spend the day admiring beautiful scenery.
We will work on location as many days as the weather permits. We have the studio as a backup plan or cool indoor spots like the Begonia House.
This series of holiday workshops will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 4pm. Jan. 11, 13, 18, 20, 25 and 27.
Each workshop we will warm up with some sketching and drawing techniques and afterwards we’ll get the paints out and go for it with watercolour, (although you are welcome to work in your preferred medium).
There are six workshops in total and registration is flexible. Choose whichever dates suit your schedule. No need to choose consecutive weeks or the same days and no need to attend every session.
We will meet in the studio at 10am for a meet up and a quick cuppa and then travel to our location. In some cases, we will just meet up at the location.
Beginners and all levels of experience are welcome.
Under 16s welcome accompanied by an adult.
Get in touch and join us for some fun.

Poll: Are you still heading to your local for your caffeine fix, or has the $$ changed your habits? ☕
Wellington’s identity is built on its cafe culture, but with costs climbing, that culture is under pressure. We’ve seen the headlines about recent closures, and it’s a tough pill to swallow along with a $6+ coffee.
We all want our favourite spots to stay open, but we also have to balance our own budgets ⚖️
We want to know: How are you handling the "coffee math" in 2026? Are you still heading to your local for a chat and a caffeine fix, or has the cost of living changed your habits?
Keen to read more about "coffee math"? The Post has you covered.
-
46.4% I avoid spending money on coffee
-
42.6% I still indulge at my local cafe
-
11.1% Irrelevant - coffee is not for me
Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? 🛻🚨🚓
In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?
What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?
-
36.7% The sting of a fine (Money talks!)
-
63.3% The threat of demerit points (Nobody wants to lose their license!)
