Road closures on Wallace Street 24-26 July
If you’ve popped over to Mt Cook recently you might have spotted Wellington Water hard at work on the Omāroro Reservoir Pipelines Project.
The new 35 million litre Omāroro reservoir will more than double the city’s water storage supply to meet the demands of an increasing population in the inner city, as well as making sure we have enough water in the event of a disaster or disruption.
To enable this work to be done there will be stop/go system in place along sections of Wallace Street from 24-26 July between 9am-4pm to protect workers and the public while they upgrade local pipes. Please avoid the area if at all possible during these hours.
Safe, supervised pedestrian access will be maintained while stop/go is in place.
