Nina from Island Bay

SATURDAY 22 FEBRUARY from 10am to 1pm

The Sisters of St Peter Claver in Island Bay are once again holding their Mission Fair. Come and enjoy this fair in the grounds of the convent at 1 Mersey Street in Island Bay. Always a festive atmosphere with a variety of stalls and of course the rapid raffles.
The Sisters thank you in advance for your support. You can contact them directly 3838 401 if you have items to donate or wish to make a monetary donation.
Proceeds from the fair will aid the following projects.
Tanzania - Iringa: Request from Sr Prudensiana Maya Education for needy children, also providing medicines, food and clothing.
Pakistan - Diocese of Lahore: Request from Sr Farzana Roseann in Nanaka Sahib District. Asks financial assistance for the education, boarding and lodging of orphans and street children.
Sudan - Rumbek Diocese: financial support for purchasing sewing machines for St Monica Women’s group; so young women and girls can help support their families and generate income.

Hope to see you at the Fair!!

Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.

This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.

We want to know: Should this be rolled out across all coastal cities in Aotearoa? And more importantly… would you get involved? 💚

Want the details? The Post has you covered.
