Money matters - get the most from your hard earned money

Clive from Island Bay

Learn a great way to spend, save, and budget wisely. We are pleased to be able to offer another free CAP budgeting course for people in South Wellington. The 3 sessions will put you in control of your money, whether you have a lot or a little.

Our previous course was a big success going by the reviews we got. There are no catches - we run the course because we believe people should get the most out of their income and remain debt free. It is totally confidential - only you can access your data.

The CAP budgeting course gives you use of a free spreadsheet that allows you to plan your spending for as long as you want to use it. Thousands of Kiwi's, as well as people in England, Australia, and Canada have benefitted from the course.

The next course runs for 3 sessions starting on Monday July 17th, at 7.30pm, then 24th July and 7th August. It is being held at St Hilda's, 311 The Parade. To register go to www.capnz.org... and follow the link at the top to "find a course near you", or contact us at email ibhildas@gmail.com or text/call 022 139 2005

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
