House sitter needed ?

Ronja from Houghton Bay

Hi, mum is looking for a place to stay over the next couple of months close to us in Houghton Bay. Does anyone need a house sitter some time over the next few months? She is a lovely person and very reliable and is happy to look after any pets (except cats unfortunately because she is allergic to cats). She’s been house and pet sitting before. She is a social worker and artist and great with people too. But I am biased of course. If you have a free house or need someone to look after your pets or plants while you are away, or know someone who does, please do let me know. We don’t have a spare room unfortunately otherwise she’ll be with us the whole time. Much thanks.

Shocking anti-Māori propaganda posted in mailboxes

Marama from Island Bay

I am a Māori and today I found some shocking anti-Māori propaganda which had been obviously hand delivered into my mailbox. It was a call to action and as the neice of the late Moana Jackson and Syd Jackson, two intelligent and educated Māori leaders I am appalled to think that someone in my Island Bay neighbourhood is helping to spread these hateful messages.
