Remember when woodchopping was a big sport in New Zealand? :)
Hi Wellington Whanau! During COVID many careers have taken a hit and local theatre has really suffered, plays have not been performed, or have only been allowed limited audience numbers. Us artists have had a pretty hard time. So, my friends Damon and Matt have written a new play all about woodchopping, called Timberrr....! Apparently, woodchopping was once as popular as rugby in New Zealand! Timberrr...! it's going to be on at Circa Theatre and will start at the end of March, so hopefully you can go along if you're looking for something to get you out of the house!
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
Do you think this ban is reasonable?
