We are currently organising our next Volunteer Interviewer Training and are looking for people who are interested in supporting others with accessing information, to ensure that they are aware of their rights and are better equipped to deal with their everyday life and challenges.
Citizens Advice Bureau will train you in the basics and provide ongoing training and support. Initial training involves 6 half day sessions, then being paired with a mentor to ensure you are supported along the journey to becoming an accredited bureau interviewer.
We are looking for long term volunteers who can commit to one or two, 3 hour shifts each week, between 9.30-3.30 weekdays.
We have a great team of volunteers with a wide range of skills and experience. Are you able to add your skills to our Bureau?

The recent one happened at 28 September in Sulawesi Island. Following the 7.5 magnitude earthquake, a 3m-high tsunami later struck the city of Palu, sweeping shore-lying houses and buildings on its way.
As of 6 October 2018, over 1,600 people have been confirmed dead. And the death toll continued to rise as more bodies were found.
Indonesian Community in Wellington (KAMASI) is doing a fundraising to support the reconstruction and disaster relief in Indonesia.
