Christmas is a hectic time of year in general for some families. Close to 42,000 customers booked to travel domestically and internationally on that date now face potential flight cancellations, the airline has said. Keep an eye on the story link above and we'll keep this post updated as more information comes out.

The large block where Northpac timber was (to as far as where the new gym is if not further) has already been earmarked for apartments (approx 25?)but the Council has not informed any of the Newlands residents. There will be no off street parking and plans are also to open Atkinson Street right onto Newlands Road. This will happen in approx 2 years time unless we can collectively do something to block it! Newlands still does not have a 'park and ride', the council is responsible for allowing the Indian temple development at the back of the mall, they have allowed 16 2 bdrm units to be built in Batchelor Street to the side of the 'Business' area and there are plans to develop units or apartments in Oswald Crescent thereby creating yet more congestion in the heart of Newlands. Sounds a lot like what they are doing to ruin Johnsonville as well. 2019 is Council election year so some honest answers should be sought from the candidates in regards to bringing business and retail into Newlands instead of choking Newlands with intensive housing.

These features aim to improve the Chimps wellbeing and encourage natural behaviours through environmental complexity.
There’s also a new immersive glass viewing area to help people connect with the Chimps and a new children’s playground, inspired by Chimps and how they play. Come to hang with the Chimps at Wellington Zoo for the grand opening of the Chimp Park and learn how you can make a difference to Chimpanzees in the wild.
