Flowers in Tawa
Rotary Club of Tawa changed the flower baskets in Tawa last week.
This is one of many projects Rotary members and volunteers do in the Tawa community.
Tawa community gardens took the old basket contents, where it will help grow food.
Great work. Enjoy the flowers Tawa. Hopefully they help to bring a bit of colour to your day!
A huge thank you to the Tawa Community Board and the Tawa Business Group, under the Tawa Residents Association, and a few private donors, funding these baskets.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
