QUIZ NIGHT invitation - a fun night out in J/ville NEXT SUNDAY at "1841" for a GREAT cause!!

Graeme from Johnsonville

We are in need of more keen quizzers to help our cause. Come and join us next Sunday 10th July for a quiz run by the professional team at 1841, whether you’re the go to team, quiz masters or just there for the drinks, everyone is welcome.

Judgeford Environmental Protection Society (JEPS) is a registered non-profit society which was established by Judgeford residents to petition an extension of the use of the Willowbank Quarry for 35 years. We are fundraising to assist with costs for experts to complete environmental, noise, traffic and dust impact testing as well as planners and lawyers all of which are required to support our submission to oppose the Quarry extension.

For more information about this cause or to make a donation please use the following form form.jotform.com...

Gather your mates, team numbers are up to you, the more people you can bring along the better your chances of taking out first place.

There will be a raffle and a silent auction to mix the night up and of course 1841 drinks and food available for purchase.

We welcome your support for our community's cause.

Follow the link to purchase your tickets and we look forward to seeing you there.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
