Wellington's woeful December weather

It is official. The weather in December has been awful
Data from the MetService’s Kelburn monitoring station shows the average wind speed for the first seven days of December has been puffing 10.5kmh more than normal, up from 15.5kmh to 26kmh.
Wellington received 2.5 fewer sunshine hours than average with 47.9 hours, while the average temperature of 17.2 degrees Celsius was below the normal 18.6C.
Can you remember another summer like this one?
