TAWA BOOK FAIR
Tawa Rotary’s annual book fair gets under way this weekend and the club has added an extra weekend to the event this year.
Book fair coordinator, Pat Waite, says that it’s an extremely popular feature on the Tawa calendar and each year a significant amount of money is raised for local charitable purposes.
“The book fair is made possible by the generosity of not only Tawa residents but also others across Wellington and Porirua in donating their surplus books,” said Waite. “Many use the fair to stock up on their year’s reading and then donate the books back for the next fair.”
This year the book fair is being held at the Beanstalk Kindergarten premises in Duncan Street, opposite Tawa College.
