Free Aloe plant

Morag from Khandallah

The pot this Aloe grew in got broken and it was lifted into a larger pot with some compost tucked down the side. If you're happy to lift in out of its new pot (which we want to keep) it's yours for free. It has a robust root ball and should replant well.

A recent recycling survey showed that 93% of Wellingtonians recycle, and 87% believe it’s worth taking the time to do it properly. With that in mind, we’ve made some changes to help Wellingtonians recycle right when they visit the Southern Landfill.

As part of our new Waste Bylaw, these items are no longer accepted in the landfill. Instead you can drop them off at the recycling and composting services on site:

♻️ Green waste
♻️ Electronic waste
♻️ Recyclable paper and cardboard
♻️ Glass bottles and jars
♻️ Steel and aluminium cans
♻️ Tyres

"Nice to see a grey warbler/riroriro (Gerygone igata) in the weekend. I'm not hearing them as much now the cicadas have cranked themselves up to full volume. It's probably the end of the breeding season as well. I was interested to read that only the males do the summer warbling, apparently the females only have a short chirp call. Don't ask me why this turkey is hanging upside down - there's always one."

Free gravel...

Cindy from Newlands

Just come and remove it. Fairly easy access as in front yard.

I have a fair bit of gravel I’m keen to get rid of, maybe a trailer or 2. Prefer gone ASAP.

Ps. You’ll need your own trailer and spade...

About half of what is seen in the photo is available, sitting on weed mat.
