We are sharing information about the Christmas Connection initiative in case anyone would like to participate.
Created by founder Sarah Robb of @springwithsarah Christmas Connection is a heartfelt initiative designed to bring comfort and connection to those who may find this time of year challenging due to the death of a loved one.
This year we have teamed up with our friends at @endoflifeplanning.me and @sovereigndepartures so Sarah's beautiful initiative can be delivered in Wellington alongside the Christchurch and Auckland event.
We invite you to be a part of this meaningful journey by sharing a personal message to your loved ones who have passed away.
Your words will be etched onto wooden Christmas decorations, creating a beautiful and poignant memorial throughout December.
On Christmas Day, these heartfelt messages are ceremoniously burned in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland, allowing them to be sent to your loved ones who have passed away.
Here is a reel to show you what it is all about, starting in Christchurch, Auckland and now in Wellington. www.instagram.com...
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
If you're in Wellington: Visit the below link to write your heartfelt message www.endoflifeplanning.me...
If you're in Christchurch you can pop into a library or use this link to pass on your message springwithsarah.com...
If you're in Auckland you can pop into the Grief Centre Birkenhead office, or email your message to them on christmas@griefcentre.org.nz

Me and my girlfriend Karolina are both big animal fans and can help you out while youβre enjoying your holidays! We are available for all around Christmas and have done over 6 other pet feeding jobs so you can trust we will get what your pets require done. Rates for other jobs have ranged 20-30$ a visit but are dependent on distance and time required rather than how many pets need to be cared for. We are also happy to water plants as a different service if you have high maintenance plants that need to be looked after. Please feel free to contact me on 027 588 4889 by text if you would like to clarify details or outline your interest. Happy holidays. π

Rowing is one of Judyβs passions, and sheβs had great success with it, competing up and down the country since picking up the sport in her 50s. A highlight in her rowing career was in 2017 when Judy, along with her rowing partner Alison, competed in The World Masters Games, winning a silver medal in the 1000m Womenβs Pairs.
She currently holds the title of top women's single sculler in the 70-75 year age group in New Zealand and is second in the North Island for the 65-75 year age group.
Adventure is in Judyβs DNA. Sheβs always up for hitting the open road and exploring the fantastic wilderness that Aotearoa has to offer. When sheβs not rowing, Judy loves to hike. And sheβs no stranger to several hard South Island trails.
Having a lifestyle this active and busy means that Judy doesnβt want to be worrying about her home while she is away. She chose Rymanβs Murray Halberg Village because it suits all her needs, right down to the location near the water as well as all the safety and security benefits.
βItβs a lock up and leave it situation,β she says.

Do you ever feel like your stuff holds you back, but the thought of decluttering just seems too hard? If so, youβre not alone.
This is the first of a series of articles dedicated to helping you to downsize, declutter and rightsize your life, brought to you by Ryman Healthcare in conjunction with decluttering expert Peter Walsh.
When helping people to declutter, Peter never starts by focusing on the stuff itself. Every item in your home has a story, so the first step is to think about what that story is.
Maybe youβre thinking about downsizing as you approach retirement but still have all the artwork and toys and books that belonged to your now adult children, and donβt know what to do with them. Perhaps letting go of that old sports equipment means letting go of a vision you had of yourself that no longer fits who you are. Maybe youβre holding onto heirlooms you have no use for because you want to keep the memory of the person alive.
No matter what your situation is, itβs easier to declutter and downsize if you start by identifying the feelings that underlie your attachment to your stuff before tackling the stuff itself.
