Blithe Spirit now on sale at Circa Theatre

Marketing Manager from Circa Theatre

Noël Coward’s Blithe Spirit
A dinner, a relationship on the rocks, a séance gone awry, what could possibly go wrong?
Eccentric medium, Madame Arcati, is guest of honour at a dinner party hosted by socialite novelist, Charles Condomine and his partner, Rudi. Charles is hoping to pick up “ a few tricks of the trade” for his new novel. But after too many martinis and a schemozzle of a seance, Charles gets more than he wished for when an unexpected guest materializes.

Written in just seven days, Blithe Spirit remains one of Noël Coward’s funniest and enduring comedies. Stylish, sharp and just a wee bit spooky, Blithe Spirit is a delicious cocktail of magic and mayhem.

After 18 years leading Auckland Theatre Company, veteran Wellington director Colin McColl teams up with comedy legend Ginette McDonald and a cast of award-winning actors for this refreshingly new take on Coward’s classic comedy.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
