Last Chance for Playcentre visits before holiday shutdown

Stephanie from Kelburn

Kia ora caregivers of pre-schoolers,

We're having our last week of full sessions at Kelburn Playcentre! With lots of our tamariki off to school, we're looking to welcome more families into our whānau. Please give us a shout at info@kelburnplaycentre.org.nz or just pop round with your little one(s) to play. We run sessions every weekday from 9am-12pm where you can build community and learn and grow alongside your tamariki.
We're located on Kowhai Rd, just across from Kelburn Normal School, and you don't have to live in Kelburn to attend.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
