Street Appeal Cancelled - Help us Meet the Need
Because of current COVID-19 restrictions, we’ve had to make the tough call to cancel our Vinnies Annual Street Appeal. This doesn’t stop the challenges our communities are facing and the increasing amount of support services being accessed at our Newtown Hub.
Times are tough at the moment. We need your help to meet the increasing demand for Vinnies Welfare Services, ensuring kiwis have access to the support they need when they need it.
If in a position to do so, please consider donating to the Vinnies Annual Appeal. Every dollar will help keep our services open and accessible to the community.

Poll: Do you believe in ghosts?
Just for a little bit of fun, we'd love to know whether Kiwis believe in ghosts. What goes on in our communities that we don't know about!
Perhaps you've seen a ghost or lived in a haunted home in New Zealand. We'd love to know, so vote in our poll and share your experiences in the comments below.

KENT TERRACE, WELLINGTON CENTRAL - BURST PIPE AFFECTING TRAFFIC
Kia ora Wellington,
A burst pipe has caused flooding on Kent Terrace, between Vivian Street and Buckle St (approximately).
Crews are onsite, and we're awaiting urgent traffic management so we can undertake the repair.
While we wait for traffic management, we're asking people to avoid the area if possible, and if not please expect delays. We appreciate that this is a main route, so are doing all we can to minimise impact on commuters.
At this stage, we don't expect a shutdown to affect any properties but will provide more information as the repair progresses.
It's a major repair and we expect it to take between 8 -10 hours.
We'll keep you updated on our social channels.
