"Always Look on the Bright Side of Life"
Tuesday night was our first online club meeting, "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life". Some of us were a bit young to get the Monty Python reference, but enjoyed the light-hearted spirit of the meeting anyway!
Some parts of the meeting, like evaluating speeches, work a bit differently when you're online - but with some thought and creativity, a good night can be had by all.
We're already looking forward to next time (Tuesday 31 March). As always, we welcome guests - head to newtown.toastmastersclubs.org and get in touch so we can send you the Zoom meeting details.
Stay safe, everyone - see you online!

Kia ora neighbours. If you've got a family recipe for courgettes, we'd love to see it and maybe publish it in our magazine. Send your recipe to mailbox@nzgardener.co.nz, and if we use it in the mag, you will receive a free copy of our January 2025 issue.

New baby?
Hi - I'm Olivia from Stuff (and a new mum myself).
I'm writing an article on the different challenges faced by parents around the country, from midwife availability and getting on wait lists for childcare right down to the food at birthing centres.
