Get your fix of Guide biscuits before they are gone for good!

Michaela Coleman from Island Bay Guides

Local girls (from Newtown to Island Bay and Brooklyn) will be out in force over the next month selling Guide Biscuits. Chocolate, original or mini, $3.50 per packet and EFTPOS is available. You can get them this weekend from:
- Countdown Newtown, 10-6pm Saturday and Sunday
- Newtown Mall, 10-6pm Saturday or
- Harbourside Market, 7.30am - 1pm

Not only are they delicious but you are helping local girls build self esteem, confidence and leadership skills.

If you can't make our stalls this weekend, keep an eye out over the next month in the same locations (& more), or email islandbayguides@gmail.com.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
