Landlords fear bigger damage bills if tenant liability rules change
Currently there is no incentive for tenants to look after a property; the proposed changes do put some of the liability back on the tenant, but not as much as it could be.
Removing the ‘per incident’ line as part of the recommended amendments for the RTA may mean high bills for landlords.
Shocking anti-Māori propaganda posted in mailboxes
I am a Māori and today I found some shocking anti-Māori propaganda which had been obviously hand delivered into my mailbox. It was a call to action and as the neice of the late Moana Jackson and Syd Jackson, two intelligent and educated Māori leaders I am appalled to think that someone in my Island Bay neighbourhood is helping to spread these hateful messages.
