The Penguin was the inter-island ferry of its day. When it sank in a storm on 12th February 1909, two thirds of those on board lost their lives including all of the children and all except one woman.
The Friends will be running their annual S.S. Penguin tour on the 11th February from 1-3pm. This tour will cover the stories of some of the many lives lost that night. Tickets are $10 per person. Please visit our website to secure yours:

In theory you are t supposed to clean linen with an upholstery steam clean. I patch tested a bit and it actually came up ok.
