COVID-19 delays to recycling
Unfortunately, 50% of our waste contractors are currently unwell with COVID-19 or other seasonal bugs, which means there will be significant delays to kerbside waste collections.
Kerbside rubbish and co-mingle recycling (wheelie bins and bags) are being prioritised, but there may be some delays. If yours is missed, please leave it out overnight for collection the next day.
Glass collections will be put on hold from Monday 27 June for an estimated two weeks.
You can still drop your glass items off for free at the Recycling Centre at the Southern Landfill or stockpile clean items until collections restart.
We wish our contractors a speedy recovery.
Thank you all for your patience 🙏
