Burgers abound as Wellington On A Plate returns
Wellingtonians can get their burger fix anew, as a staple event in the capital’s culture diet returns for an extra four weeks at level 2.
Visa Wellington On a Plate begins today (Wednesday), September 8, and festival director Sarah Meikle said the plan was to run the burger festivities for up to four weeks instead of the usual 2.

KENT TERRACE, WELLINGTON CENTRAL - BURST PIPE AFFECTING TRAFFIC
Kia ora Wellington,
A burst pipe has caused flooding on Kent Terrace, between Vivian Street and Buckle St (approximately).
Crews are onsite, and we're awaiting urgent traffic management so we can undertake the repair.
While we wait for traffic management, we're asking people to avoid the area if possible, and if not please expect delays. We appreciate that this is a main route, so are doing all we can to minimise impact on commuters.
At this stage, we don't expect a shutdown to affect any properties but will provide more information as the repair progresses.
It's a major repair and we expect it to take between 8 -10 hours.
We'll keep you updated on our social channels.
