Movie fundraiser
Hi everyone,
I have arranged a movie fundraiser for my uncle who has suffered an aneurysm and has been in hospital for over 109 days now.
On January 18th 2018, Mike was going about his work and had just finished milking the cows when tragedy struck. Fast forward a few hours, Mike ended up in the Waikato Hospital HDU (High Dependency Unit). After many operations, procedures and infections, Mike is still very much a patient.
The tickets are $25 and include a glass of bubbles. There will be some homemade treats for purchase. We will also have tickets available to win a gift basket.
All the funds raised will assist aunty Janine and uncle Mike with his recovery.
These are two extremely selfless people and this is the least we can do to help. They have always had our back and now itโs our turn.
Please feel free to message me if you would like to purchase some tickets ๐
I have also set up a give a little page aswell if you would like to donate towards this ๐
Thanks so much for reading this! ๐

Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? ๐ป๐จ๐
In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?
What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?
-
36.5% The sting of a fine (Money talks!)
-
63.5% The threat of demerit points (Nobody wants to lose their license!)
Poll: Are you still heading to your local for your caffeine fix, or has the $$ changed your habits? โ
Wellingtonโs identity is built on its cafe culture, but with costs climbing, that culture is under pressure. Weโve seen the headlines about recent closures, and itโs a tough pill to swallow along with a $6+ coffee.
We all want our favourite spots to stay open, but we also have to balance our own budgets โ๏ธ
We want to know: How are you handling the "coffee math" in 2026? Are you still heading to your local for a chat and a caffeine fix, or has the cost of living changed your habits?
Keen to read more about "coffee math"? The Post has you covered.
-
46.2% I avoid spending money on coffee
-
42.5% I still indulge at my local cafe
-
11.3% Irrelevant - coffee is not for me
๐ Riddle me this, legends! ๐
He/She who makes it, sells it.
He/She who buys it, doesn't use it.
The user doesn't know they are using it.
What is it?
(Shezz from Ngฤruawฤhia kindly provided this head-scratcher ... thanks, Shezz!)
