Town Hall strengthening gets under way

Social Media Specialist from Wellington City Council

Work starts soon on earthquake strengthening the Town Hall & will take about 3 years to complete. Safety barriers will start to go up around the Wakefield Street/Civic Square frontages, and the lane between the Town Hall and the Michael Fowler Centre will be closed for public safety. Wakefield Street will stay open but there will be some loss of short-term car parks so people and vehicles can move safely. More info
