Waikanae Scout Group - Wednesday Night Vacancies

Ingrid Adams from Waikanae Scout Group

Waikanae Scout Group currently have vacancies in the Scout section for boys and girls in (or about to move into) Year 6 or above, aged 10+ years old. Waikanae is an active group doing all the fun things children have always wanted to do – whether it is outdoor based activities such as tramping, camping, biking, games or indoor based such as target shooting, scout craft, photography or pioneering. Our experienced leaders help children to gain practical skills and life skills, such as leadership, responsibility and confidence – in a safe and supervised environment. We have a progressive Award Scheme based on the four cornerstones of outdoors, community, personal development and new experiences to keep children constantly pushing themselves to achieve their personal best. Scout meetings are held on Wednesday evenings 7-9pm during term time in the Russell Reserve. If you’d like to know more or arrange a date to visit a Scout meeting, please contact Ingrid, email: UKkiwiz@aol.com

Poll: Are you still heading to your local for your caffeine fix, or has the $$ changed your habits? ☕

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Wellington’s identity is built on its cafe culture, but with costs climbing, that culture is under pressure. We’ve seen the headlines about recent closures, and it’s a tough pill to swallow along with a $6+ coffee.

We all want our favourite spots to stay open, but we also have to balance our own budgets ⚖️

We want to know: How are you handling the "coffee math" in 2026? Are you still heading to your local for a chat and a caffeine fix, or has the cost of living changed your habits?

Keen to read more about "coffee math"? The Post has you covered.

Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? 🛻🚨🚓

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?

What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?
