Juniors: Learn self-defence through Hapkido Family Martial Arts

Peter from Karori

This is a good time for kids to join our Junior class as in the past weeks four kids have started: two girls and two boys.

Hapkido Martial Arts classes for Juniors (school years 4-8) and Seniors (all ages 13+) – teach self-defence, discipline, confidence and fitness.

Our Juniors Class is on Saturday 10-11am, and three Senior Classes a week: Monday and Thursday 6-7.30pm and Saturday 10-11.30am.

Each Senior Class includes males and females, beginners through to black belts.

We provide a safe environment to learn Hapkido Martial Art. You will learn how to defend yourself, gain the confidence to walk away from trouble and how to handle yourself if you can’t.

We are at Club K, 65 Salamanca Road, Kelburn. There is adequate free parking available.

Find us at www.wellingtonhapkido.com... to find out in greater detail what we do and how to join. Or just come, or ring Peter 021 431 561.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!

Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.

This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.

We want to know: Should this be rolled out across all coastal cities in Aotearoa? And more importantly… would you get involved? 💚

Want the details? The Post has you covered.
