TIME IS RUNNING OUT! YOU ONLY HAVE FOUR DAYS LEFT!
Our 'Keeping Woofers Warm' winter campaign has already helped over 50 dogs so far. We want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has donated to us, the vet clinics who have supported us, and to those who reached out requesting these items for their dog - together we can make a difference for canines out in the community.
There are just FOUR DAYS LEFT for people to register their interest and our Wellington and Masterton Centres still have plenty of blanket supplies left to give out to the community. By the end of the week, it's our mission to see all of these blankets with canines who need them. Wellington, will you help us?
PLEASE, if you have a canine who will be spending a lot of time outside this winter, have an outside dog who needs blankets for their kennel, or you know someone who needs these items for their fur baby, our team urges you to get in touch as soon as possible.
Contact our team TODAY by emailing wellington.info@spca.nz, along with the following information, and we will be in touch:
- Owner’s name
- Contact number
- Address
- Type of dog
- Dog size
- Nearest SPCA Centre (Wellington or Masterton)
- Are you able to collect from your nearest centre (Yes or No)
Registrations close on Monday 5 July, so you have only FOUR DAYS LEFT!
We have only had small dog jackets donated and have very limited supplies available, so our team will be providing additional blankets to those with larger dogs.
PLEASE NOTE: This service is only available in Wellington and Wairarapa. Conditions apply, for more information and conditions, please visit our website at www.spca.nz...
PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW! The more canines we can help together, the better.
Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? 🛻🚨🚓
In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?
What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?
-
31.2% The sting of a fine (Money talks!)
-
68.8% The threat of demerit points (Nobody wants to lose their license!)
Poll: Are you still heading to your local for your caffeine fix, or has the $$ changed your habits? ☕
Wellington’s identity is built on its cafe culture, but with costs climbing, that culture is under pressure. We’ve seen the headlines about recent closures, and it’s a tough pill to swallow along with a $6+ coffee.
We all want our favourite spots to stay open, but we also have to balance our own budgets ⚖️
We want to know: How are you handling the "coffee math" in 2026? Are you still heading to your local for a chat and a caffeine fix, or has the cost of living changed your habits?
Keen to read more about "coffee math"? The Post has you covered.
-
46.4% I avoid spending money on coffee
-
44.1% I still indulge at my local cafe
-
9.5% Irrelevant - coffee is not for me

How much does it cost to join AEA?
There are no dues or fees for joining AEA or attending AEA meetings. We are self-supporting through our own voluntary contributions. At some point during each meeting we pass the basket to help cover expenses, such as the cost of rent and literature. Members are not obliged to contribute, but we usually do so to the extent we are able.
